About The Cedars B&B
A little about us and the amazing history of our wonderful B&B in St. Day
The Cedars B&B
How it all started
The Cedars was once owned by David’s granddad Mr May. Up until the 1960s the Cedars was run as a B&B. However, through ill health it fell into a bad state of repair. David and Janet bought the house from Mr May in June 1999.
Within two years and with a lot of hard work it was changed into a lovely family home, which enabled all the children to have their own space. But when the time came and the last child moved out, what now? It was decided to change it back into a B&B again. With a lot more hard work from the both of us including adding ensuites in all the bedrooms, the Cedars was reborn again as a B&B in 2012.
In 2024 we made the hard decision to close our B&B rooms, but kept our Shepherds Hut and added a new Garden Room as self-catering accommodation. Each accommodation type has been decorated and styled to an incredible high standard with en-suite facilites.
You are based in a perfect location for your Cornish holiday with both the north and south coast less than 30 minutes drive away, the wild open space and incredible coastline of the Lizard Peninsular to the west and the rugged wilds of Bodmin Moor to the east. Be sure to check out our local attractions that we have handpicked.
